I was so excited to have the opportunity to go TEDx Portland this year! The energy surrounding the event was electrifying and the elite speakers were absolutely mesmerizing. From every age and walk of life, they had a different story to tell, every story tying back to the theme PERFECT. Though I could go on and on about every speaker, here are a few of the overarching themes I clutched in my mind and soul's grip, leaving Keller Auditorium.
- Perfect does not necessarily mean 'without flaw'.
- Perfect means loving others and letting others love you.
- Perfect means allowing opportunity for those who otherwise might not have it.
- Perfect means to continually change and grow and not go back to the way you were before.
- Don't let the fear of imperfection stop you from starting in the first place.
- Perfect means chasing excellence.
- Perfect means not giving up and eventually succeeding.
- Perfect involves taking risks.
- Perfect means to know when something is complete.
- The way we view perfect must change.
