If you look closely at my head - may be a scary sight...I actually took a scarf and turned it into a headband. I started by placing the center of my narrow scarf at the nape of my neck, and bringing it forward to the center of my forehead. I then twisted it once, and brought it back down to the nape of my neck. At that point, depending on the scarf, you can either tuck each end under or tie it in a knot. I have never tied a scarf like this before, and I actually ended up liking it. However, depending on what material your scarf is, it can be a little uncomfortable. I would recommend cotton or silk.
